The TSMG pivot plate tool is designed to let you easily remove the selector, and safety switches from the lower receiver, by lightly twisting
the tool when it is placed between the pivot plate fingers. Removal of the safety and selector lets you remove and clean all the works parts of the
lower receiver.

Do not use this tool as a screwdriver, pry bar, or anything else it wasn't designed for.

The tool blade is  a composite fiber/epoxy,  which is softer than the steel on the TSMG, and thus will not scratch the surface. A hardwood handle makes
the tool comfortable to use.

To use, lay gun/lower receiver flat on it's left side, and place the flat tip of the tool bar absolutely flush with the receiver frame, and as
straight up from the receiver as possible.

One edge of the tool tip should be as close as possible to the pivot plate finger being worked to maximize the mechanical advantage.

Twist the tool handle gently counterclockwise JUST ENOUGH  to move the pivot plate finger so the selector or safety levers can be pushed out past
the pivot plate finger. Move to next finger, and repeat process.  Use tool again when reinstalling the levers.

These tools are $20, delivered. A cheap price to pay for not scratching your valuable gun, or nicking the pivot plate fingers, which will cause the
spring steel finger, to break.
